Sheraton West Des Moines Hotel

Friendly Staff upon arrival, room was a hotel room, nothing fancy nothing bad. We liked the location off the interstate and the easy and fast access to many dinner options. Ok, the paid parking was kinda weird since the lot was so empty. We would stay again.

We came for a football tournament. Rooms were okay. Initially they placed us in the wrong room (1 king no sofa vs 2 queens for 4 people). Fridge & micro in our room. We found used hygiene products in our room. Gross! Staff was kind but direct. Keep kids with adults. Breakfast was extensive so made the high price more bareable. When the bar closed, management offered our group an event space to keep socializing which was great. Well planned and organized fitness area. Pool was frigid. Would not recommend.

I chose this hotel because it was outside the city. It's about a 10-15 minute drive to downtown Des Moines and 15-20 minute drive to the airport. This hotel has a beautiful lobby and you get a "wow" feeling upon entering. The front desk has a friendly staff and check-in was quick. I took the glass elevators up to the 10th floor to the Presidential Suite. This suite provides ample room with a bedroom, dining room and living room. The shower was also roomy. The suite was very quiet and safe. The suite came with Executive Lounge access but the Lounge was closed. The suite also came with breakfast that was served down in the Lobby restaurant. Breakfast was on-menu. My room, as well as the hotel, was very clean. There is ample parking and very close to the interstate. I strongly recommend and will stay here again.

The place is full of kids running around unsupervised. They were all playing with the glass elevators like elf. I would have as too when I was that age but it was annoying to take the stairs to the 10th floor everytime. The nose level is like you were at a hotel pool that was at capacity.

Nice, clean rooms! The view across the hotel is beautiful, but the water fall in lobby is quite loud. I’m pretty noise sensitive, but others might not be bothered by it at all. It’s a good location, I just wish the parking was free!

We had a great team corporate event at Sheraton West Des Moines last week. We couldn't be happier with how things went. Natasha Foster was so great leading up to the event about communication. She kept up with last minute changes like a pro. During the event she and the team were amazing! They were prompt (early in fact), very nice, and very professional in their service. They were also quick to respond to my lack of communication that caused them to hurry! The rooms were also extremely clean and well appointed. Sheraton West Des Moines is a great place for your next team event!

Good people doing great work. Parking lot was clean, free of defects and had plenty of space upon arrival. Immediately welcomed by the highly enthusiastic staff upon entry. Check-in was simple, straight forward and highly professional. The room was noticably spotless and smelled refreshingly clean upon entry. We experienced ample and abundant hot water with good pressure in the shower. The beds were fantastic, firm and supportive but soft as clouds. The room was exceptionally quiet and completely issue free.

This was my first time in Iowa and I stayed three nights at the Sheraton West Des Moines. Honestly, it was the best hotel experience I’ve had in years. Ashley at the front desk was amazing—so warm and welcoming, and she even remembered my name the next day. At the bar/restaurant, Danielle, Brandon, and Ben (his first night!) were awesome—super friendly, fun to chat with, and made sure I was taken care of. They all made my trip so much better. I’d definitely stay at a Sheraton again after this!
